What your equity, your taxes and your benefits actually say, company by company.
Compensation at a large employer arrives on several clocks: salary, bonus, and equity that vests on its own schedule under its own rules. Each guide reads one company’s published benefits, award agreements and filings, and lays out what they say and where to check.
The employers
Each guide is dated with the day its sources were last checked. Simple Money is not affiliated with any employer listed, and a guide is not an endorsement by or of that employer.
About these guides
Every guide is written from sources anyone can open: the employer's own benefits and company pages, the award agreements and policies filed with its SEC filings, and the IRS, Department of Labor and state agency material that governs the tax and plan rules involved. Each statement carries a numbered citation to the document it comes from.
What a guide cannot do is tell you what your award says. Grant terms, amendments, country provisions and plan documents differ between people at the same company and control the outcome. The guides explain what to look for and where it is written down.
Rules change, and filings are superseded. Check the date on a guide, and confirm anything that matters against your own plan documents before acting on it.
